Can you believe it? CRAFT Challenge is already 4 years old. Originally started by Tracy from Just Tracy Crafts and with a DT mostly recruited from Trimcraft forum members (Hence the term CRAFT Challenge, which stood for Crafters Residing Are Friendly Trimmies. Or if you wished alternative meaning of Can't Remember A Flipping Thing) on the 4^th of May 2009.

We have now grown to be a large team of Design Team Members from all around the world, supplemented with lots of Guest Designers who join us for a month at a time.

We have always welcomed all kinds of craft, not just paper craft (unless specifically stated so in the challenge at the time) and are happy to have such a large group of faithful followers.

So, how are we going to celebrate this milestone?

Well, how else can we celebrate than to have our yearly Blogaversary Blog Hop?

GD CRAFT Challenge #117 - Colour Fiesta

GD CRAFT Challenge #116 - Resist technique

Yes, it's Thursday again and I hope you are ready for a new challenge at CRAFT Challenge!!

This time we want you to use a Resist technique on your card/ project, 

and our sponsor this week is

There are several resist techniques to choose from, and hopefully you'll find one that works for you.

We have one tutorial in the challenge blog here or just google it and you will find several resist techniques.

This technique was completely new and untested for me, so I ended up trying out several methods. 

I really wanted to try out this method , but realised after 5-6 attempts that this was not for me to do.

So I ended up doing it my own way and I'm so pleased with the result.

I started with a piece of smooth white cardboard that I stamped around the edges with the Distress Ink embossing pad. Then I used the Seafoam White embossing powder and heated it.

When finished with the embossing you apply ink over the embossed part with a sponge.

Then you wipe gently over the embossed image with some soft paper to remove any ink from the image.

I've used the same method on the butterflies.

For this card I have used stamps from Stempelglede - text and "swirls" 

and the butterfly stamp is from Kort & Godt.

I saw a birdhouse in a store and I thougt it would be great to make one in paper.

GD for CRAFT challenges in August

Hi everyone!

I was so proud and honored for beeing selected "The star of the month" in June at the CRAFT Challenge,
and when they asked me if I would be a guest designer for August I said YES!! :D

For this week's CRAFT challenge #114, the theme is: Anniversary and we have 2 sponsors with great prizes from

My card is made for a 10 years wedding anniversary.

I just love the digital stamps from Wee Stamps ♥

And these adorable lovebirds are no exeption.

They are soooo cute ♥

I have used:

Blue cardstock from Bazzill, dp from Maja Design, a lace napkin and some old note paper.

The edges are distressed and stamped with Distress Ink - Vintage Photo.

The image "Bird Swing" from Wee Stamps are printed on aquarelle paper and painted with Distress reinkers.

Text from Kreativ Hobby and swirls from Stempelglede.

Spellbinder dies and swirl die from Magnolia. 

The numbers are from TH Alteration die and I've added some glitterglue: Star Dust from Ranger.
Flowers from Storyteller and halfpearls from Panduro.
